About Me

I’m Ashley Adkins,

I've been in tech since before Wi-Fi was even a thing. Back then, “the cloud” was just the weather and fixing a PC usually meant wrestling with a tangle of beige cables.

Over the last 20+ years, I’ve helped everyone from one-person startups to teams that actually need a seating chart make smarter tech decisions and avoid the expensive, hair-pulling mistakes I’ve seen way too often.

Here’s what I’ve learned: most businesses don’t need more tech. They need the right tech, explained in plain English, so they can get back to, you know, actually running the business.

This blog is my little patch of the internet where I share the good stuff:

  • The tools that actually make life easier (and the ones to avoid like the plague)
  • Smarter ways to work without drowing in logins and subscriptions
  • The occasional reality check when the tech world gets a bit too high on its own hype

If you’re the kind of person who:

  • Likes clarity over complexity
  • Runs a business, not a science experiment
  • Has zero patience for buzzwords and BS

…then you’re in the right place.

Each week you’ll get:

  • Byte-Sized Updates - a quick, plain-English look at the week’s biggest tech stories
  • Tools & Workflows - practical tips you’ll actually want to try
  • The Odd Rant - because someone has to say it
